Fundraiser Concert for new opera work, Animal Wisdom, On June 28 in NYC

by

Hey Sugar. How’s the hump on that camel?

Did you take a solstice bask?

Did you get on your bicycle and ride?

I hope you did.

I have one message and three reasons to absorb it:

Here is the message:

YOU SHOULD COME TO THIS FUND RAISER AND FUND THE CRAP OUT OF ME.

Listen baby, I might as well get to the point.

The truth is, we got a Looooong distance to go.

It is a great challenge. That’s ok.

I’m a freakin weasel and Imma SWIM

(with YOUR expert help.) (Weasels need friends.)

I digressed into metaphor concerning weasels (?) and I apologize, soo–let me give you that message again:

YOU SHOULD COME TO THIS FUND RAISER AND FUND THE CRAP OUT OF ME.

HERE’S the link to reserve your ticket:

CLICK ME!!!

and HERE’S today’s 3 reasons why:

1. Because John Lennon made sketches that are selling right now at Sotheby’s for 30million pounds*

*note- that might be a slight exaggeration but only slight.

At this fundraiser, you will have the opportunity to be exclusive bidders on ONE DOZEN art pieces I have commissioned from ONE DOZEN NYC downtown Legends. Have you ever wanted to own a piece of art by Rachel Chavkin? By César Alvarez? By 600 Highwaymen? By Witness Relocation? By Taylor Mac? By ME? The Bengsons? The Bushwick Starr? The TEAM? Andrew Schneider?!  Oh goody, now you can. Up for silent auction are all 12 pieces from New York City’s downtown performance scene. Up for one night only, and taken home by you, likely worth 6 trillion dollars in 10 years.**

**note–this is a rough estimate

2. Because sometimes Jimi Hendrix would just show up to a dive bar in New Jersey and sit in as part of a houseband in a wig and ascot and the people there paying for 5 dollar well whiskey accidentally got the show of their lives***

***Note— I COMPLETELY made that up

At this fundraiser, Sasha Brown, first Arbornaut and heat-bringing impesario of swagger, will be flying across half these united states to sit in with me, your Tea-Cup-Count-Basie, to be YOUR house band, at the service of YOU and the constellation of stars we have singing on this night. A job we are VERY excited about performing.

3. Because Gertrude Stein and Alice B Toklas.

Because Madonna and Jean Michel Basquiat.

Because Rilke and George Sands

and Chopin and George Sands

and Zelda and F. Scott and

John and Abigail Adams.

Because COMPANIONSHIP is FUEL and gets tasty shit DONE (in addition to bread), and I WANNA SEE YOU, my friend.

7 days.

7 days.

I love you and thank you for playing.

If you can’t make it to the concert and you’d still like to contribute to Heather Christian & the Arbornauts’ first ever opera “Animal Wisdom”, in these formative stages as an Angel or Medici or Patron Saint- you can go here.

Please make sure to write “Animal Wisdom” in the notes!
